Deb Group

Deb Group manufactures a wide range of sophisticated hand hygiene and cleaning products under a number of brands, including Deb, Cutan and Swarfega.

Founded in Derbyshire in the 1940s, Deb Group originally manufactured bulk industrial skincare products under the market leading Swarfega brand.

VALUE CREATION

In December 2006 Deb Group was refinanced and Equistone simultaneously increased its stake to 75%.  Since Equistone's investment in 2004, the business has generated a 116% increase in revenues and 190% increase in EBIT.

THE EXIT

Equistone sold Deb Group to Charterhouse Capital Partners for £325m. This represents a money multiple of 5.5 times on the original investment of £32m.
