Photonis

Photonis is a world leader in the design and manufacture of optronic components serving photo sensor technology and the night vision systems.

Photonis operates in the defence, homeland security, scientific instrumentation and medical imaging markets. Previously, Photonis completed several add-ons (Delft Electronique Products B.V in the Netherlands and Burle Industries Inc. in the United States in 2005, Antheryon in 2006, Hi-Light Opto Electronics B.V. in the Netherlands in 2007 and Brennel Glass Ltd in the United Kingdom in 2008). Photonis is now the European leader on the image intensifiers market.

THE EXIT

Following several major commercial successes in the image intensifier tubes activity, which delivered outstanding financial performance, Photonis’ shareholders accepted Axa Private Equity’s offer for a secondary MBO that received the full support of the management team.
