Sogetrel

Sogetrel is a specialist in the design, installation and maintenance of outdoor communication networks.

Founded in 1985, Sogetrel has grown into a leading French supplier of communication networks and system integration, with more than 2,200 employees in 40 sites across France, Belgium and Switzerland. The company has become a key partner to both public and private operators and local authorities, particularly in the rollout of ultra-fast broadband networks.

Sogetrel is also a major player in the field of communicating solutions, such as electronic security, connected objects, and machine-to-machine applications. The rollout of the Gazpar smart meter for GRDF (Engie Group) stands out as one of its latest successes.

VALUE CREATION

During the investment period, Equistone has supported Sogetrel in its development strategy, in particular its relationship with Orange and local authorities, along with the acquisition of ITA and TBF in its first year of investment, followed more recently by Greselle and a fourth company in 2015.

THE EXIT

Equistone completed the sale of its Fund II investment in Sogetrel to Quilvest and Bpifrance.
